Name the job in one word

Bed — under VO or screen capture. Mood stable, loopable, no hook begging for lyrics.

Back — someone will sing later. Clear groove + chords; leave mids open.

Cue — 15–40s sting or menu loop. Arc over loopability.

Write that word in the Title field (Bed / night drive). It won’t change the model much; it stops you from prompting like a chart single.

Don’t paste five paragraphs. One line, English tags, end with an anti-vocal clause.

Bed / lo-fi work

If a take still sneaks in a hum, append once: no voice, no humming. Then stop stacking synonyms—regen.

Mode choice without a lecture

Simple + Instrumental: first usable bed in under a minute.
Custom: you care about BPM, empty Lyrics, or the “room for vocals” back.

That’s the whole decision. Everything else is listening.

Extend without inventing a singer

When the clip is short:

Paste the same Styles into Extend.
Add continue instrumental if the UI gives a free text box.
Don’t “improve” the prompt with epic chorus mid-chain.

After Extend, scrub the join. If energy doubles and a lead melody appears, trash the second half and Extend again from the clean take.

Where the audio goes after Suno

Export the WAV/MP3 and finish outside the generator. Under voice-over: high-pass rumble, duck 2–3 dB when speech hits, and trim loop points on silence—not mid-snare. For a karaoke back, leave the midrange alone; add your vocal track in the DAW instead of asking Suno for a “almost instrumental with soft singer.” Commercial use still depends on your Suno plan—check the license before a client upload.
